Imagine getting a phonecall, so you whip your phone out to answer, but it slips and kills 8 people. :)

...the table is a fake though - it doesn't work.

I have seen simular various multi touch projects before like this (but not with iPhone of course). So its can work.

PS. hehe and yes I do guess its not a handy phone, due the size, so its more a ipod touch than phone.
