Just had a special delivery today from some strange imaginary country? The contents were a wonderful mix of yeast and wheat and though only a single slice was delivered (thankfully my postybox is exactly slice-sized) I am overjoyed to ingest this wonderous delight that some strange person decided to send to me (you bloody mad man!!)

So, now going to unwap, coat in jersey butter, and layer with a great helping of mushroom & garlic pate (sorry for that, not quite marmalade lol) and enjoy.... (yes, it is still wonderfully soft)

Oh joy!

ps. the envelope tickled me immensely and I had a damn good idea who the sender was... lol  :)

Sunday was a trialrun btw. It was my birthday tuesday and I'm having a small party on saturday with a small selction of my best friends.

It'll be themed around beer and we'll have about 10-12 specialty beers and have to rate them as we go along. Then see what the overall score is.

To go with that, there'll be tapas, snacks and freshly baked bread which I'll make saturday afternoon so that it'll super-fresh when the guests arrive.
...just wanted to check if I still "had the touch". :) ...seriously, it's just bread, though. ;)

You really did eat it? ...in that case you probably saved a duck's life. :)

Well, to be honest, I opened it, had half and then the wife ate the other half... Sadly she thinks it is much nicer than the bread we make. so, you may have a job as the VonFlash baker.

honestly, it arrived still soft and moist, it had not dried out at all. We had to take a picture first though.

As for this party, (and happy birthday), Where;s the invite? (are your freinds really very small, like dwarfs? I need to see your selection of small friends)

Sadly, I am far from 'normalsized', I am flashysized... that takes 2 seats, one for the bum and another just to be visible. lol..

In all honesty, I wish I could come and 'raise the roof' or at least, sit in a corner nodding quietly?
