This is a great little machine worthy of mention

Buy here

It emulates so much stuff, but what is quite impressive is the 3d capabilities of something this cheap? WOW!!! (though the racing game is poo)

I have got a bit carried away in a game called "7 Days", A bit "Resi" with a puzzle bent!

The emulation of most systems is pretty good and the screen is on par with the DS..

Ya NEED one!! :)

A while ago I was thinking of Wiz actually. From what I hear these days, seems it has all the growing pains of those first GP2Xs (MK I or II or whatever it was) but Wiz looked more..juicy to me compared to dingoo. Now it looks as if its the other way around, speaking of homebrew support. I've sorta cooled off of both really, must be something to do with playing too many iphone stuff where I simply expect the things to work right off the bat (due to 'em probably being paid for :D).

Probably buying one because FrodoDS does some but not enough C-64 well, and the SID emu is bad at best--any opinions on SID sound from Dingoo emulators?

I really cannot remember what it was like on the Dingoo?

I remember the emulation was good and cannot remember thinking anything negitive about the sound?

So why did you buy it? Think I'll take Flash's word for it, ran about 20 of the demos from Binary Zone (link on 'Wonderful C-64 demos' thread, was and is a treasure) on Frodo DS, design compromises and mistakes (who could port a C-64 emulator and decide to cut out the borders?) mean pretty bad sound on all and graphics problems on a lot of them. Dingoo sounds like a fun machine.

So why did you buy it?

Very simple. I wanted it for what it's good for - a small portable emulation device, but I bought it not long after I got my iPhone and that takes good care of my needs while I'm on teh road, gaming-wise, and I only have so much time to fool around with stuff.

Don't misunderstand me - my comment was not supposed to be negative in any way...I just haven't been able to find the right combination of time and motivation to fiddle around with it. That's all.

I spent weeks playing all the Doom levels on it - that was a real joy (and good ol' Duke!)

Arrr, Nuke'em 3D, well remember playing it a lot at a failing workplace afore it vanished, first truly startling wintel PC game.
Sokurah, I didn't mean to be too sharp, I just don't like the Apple frenzy, but as I said to Flash, good for you all if you can get some cash from it. I just hang around here at times because I really love the retro stuff and remember a lot of it from when it was new, also because I much appreciate the three DS releases.
