Title: Retro gamer 100
Post by: flash on March 08, 2012, 03:39:16 pm
I can name every character on the cover, except number 12 and 17.

Anyone know what these two are?

Well, I guess that's my cue. :)

So far I've only seen the cover online - I haven't recieved the magazine itself yet...it usually arrives here 8-10 days after publication, so I'm hoping it'll arrive this friday or saturday. It usually does.
It looks good this time btw. Not because of issue 1 though - I already have that one, but it seems to have loads of good articles.

SF, I only have up to issue 55 on my own iPad. I'm not crazy about paying for things twice, and since I subscribe to the paper edition (which I much prefer) I don't want to pay another £33 to have them digitally too. There should be a rebate/offer thingy for this scenario. I may pick up the third eMag sometime if I can find it cheap on Ebay though. Much better value for money. ;)

The latst booklet they published is pretty good, C64 one half and Speccy the other, it's a 30th anniversary issue.

Issue 100 has one excellent article (and the Braybrook one) on Crane and the tricks he had to perform on the VCS... Makes me wanna code on it ;)

I understand and no reason to do that, if you allready have them on paper. Howover I only have few mags on paper, but have brought most of them on iPad instead.

Don't mock it - an ipad is better for porn mags...for various reasons. :p

And in related news: my boss just said I could buy the new ipad through work. I should be able to sell my "old" 32gb ipad 2 for somewhere £230-280 and that's what the new one will cost me, so upgrading is a no-brainer. ;)
Don't know what size I want yet though.

I would only buy the 64g when I get one. Got other expenses at the moment and would rather keep my iPads for testing. So, it will be a while.

Me want!

My issue arrived Thursday, but I haven't looked much at it yet. It looks good, but I almost always read them while on the toilet (hello, welcome to my life :)), but hte last couple of weeks I've been reading The Walking Dead on my ipad out there, and that has kept me from reading Retro Gamer so far.

I can recognize most characters on the cover, though - but not quite as many as you.   :-[

just bloody 12 and 17... sniff. I will have to wait until 101 to find out.

(Though I confess that I cannot remember the Headmasters name - So, really there are 3 I cannot get)
