Title: The 8-Bit Book 1981-199X
Post by: flash on November 16, 2009, 11:41:07 am
This is a fantastic read and available from Hiive books. If you are into retro, buy it before there are none left!

The magical bit for me is that Jerry Ellis saw fit to put Horace on the last page!! :) :) (made my day!)

Very nice.  :)
One thing I've just noticed is that the darn game actually have different enemies where I thought the ghosts were the only ones. :'(
Now I see bloody telephones and stuff! What is that MM stuff I ask? Arrr... :D

Sorry, just saw a Starwars rap video and felt like rapping...it won't happen again.

Hey...

Scissors were not in MM, oh! and the parky! He was in the original Horace, and stuff!

There really should have been more enemies in HITMW, but Psion (Joe Odakoya) was concerned with file size. So, no reason why not to go a bit creative? (And they really should have had 4 frames and not 2 - for the same reasons)

Parky is the park warden from the original pacman based Horace game.

Yeah - The Phone was a homage to some platform game that I can just about remember... Hmmm :)

Well, I only had a few to pick from and fit in, so...

Looks like a candy dispenser (from space). What is that thing in the bottom though, below the scissors?
It's like a cloud gone wrong or something.

Just playing with movement and input at the moment.
