Is that the same glass?? LOL
Well, tonight, like all nights, i am drinking.....
-
Jacob's Creek that's an Aussie red aint it?
What I usually drink (beer) you probably wouldn't recognise if you heard it. But I did have a 4 pack of Guinness the other night as a treat. They are really expensive over here so I just have a few to enjoy the taste.
-
Yes - Oz reds are by far the best - please send me some "graveyard shiraz" :)
-
Is that the same glass?? LOL
...yeah, it's the only one I have so I even eat dinner from it instead of using a plate *
* alright, that may not be entirely true. :p
-
you know it is!!!!
-
I'm a lucky guy. :D
-
And now they do it in cans... Madness....
:)

I'm meeting a friend at a microbrewery in 30 mins. We'll start with their superb La Granja Stout (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/8264/19945) (another description here (http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/norrebro-la-granja-stout/27576/1966/)).
(never had it from a bottle though - always from the tap).
...and after that...more beer. :D
-
Hmmm....
Stout!!!!
-
Hmmm....
Stout!!!!
Yeah, big surprise, I know. ;)
Didn't get any of it though - they'd sold out. Bastards!
...got plenty of other stout's though.
-
Tonight I'm drinking....
WATER!
Yes, believe it or not, but I've stopped drinking beer. Well, when I'm alone anyway - I still want to have fun when I'm out with my friends.
Just one among several changes made in the attempt to lose some weight. :-X
Oh, and the printout to the left of the glass is the Horace source printed out. ;D
-
how mange pages is the BlitzMax source of? I doump how mange pages a MultiFE source code print it? That app is really big, over one mb code.
-
Hey mate...
Is that a Dingoo? Headkaze and I have one also! :)
Ps.. Water is for pussys! Next you will get water retention and blow up like a balloon!!

There is no bloody winning, is there? ;D
Yes, it's a Dingoo. I've hardly touched it despite having had it for 3 weeks now. It's very cute though.
-
Hey mate, touch it, stroke it, love it... It needs you!!
I did start a little thread on it somewhere. It is great! Install Linux and all the games/ports/emus and love it some more!! Even Mame is great on it! (and Doom!! Oh JOY)
-
Hey mate, touch it, stroke it, love it... It needs you!!
I have. That's why I haven't used the Dingoo much.
Oh... ;)
-
Too much stroking is not good :)
LOL
-
DOOM on Dingoo? Pfft...I'm playing Quake III on iphone, (b)eat that. :D
By the way, all you C64 enthusiasts (meaning all of you!!), c64 emu is again on thy apple store, $5 but hey, playing warhawk on it (with trainer, cough) is well worth it.
-
Too much stroking is not good :)
LOL
Tssch, nothing wrong with that. I don't have to wear gloves in the winter because I've grown hair on on my palms. It's a good thing.
...oh, but I'm starting to go blind, but "lose some, win some". ;D
-
I knew putting a stop to drinking beer would be a bad thing...or perhaps good. ;)

You bad boy!!!
Fancy doing that after I have joined you in the fight of the demon drink...
(I gave up on Christmas Day - and bloody hate it!)

Hold on a mo!!
Where's that Horace source code gone?

I don't think the malt'll go to your thighs...that's what I'm countin' on anyways. :D
...let me know how it goes btw? ;)
Now it's time to go to bed though.
Btw. just another 20% code and there'll be a new game from the tardis camp.
....not one I've spoken of before though. ;)
-
Well, if Flash isn't doing it, I am.
...my reward for having concentrated just a little on programming today. :)
-
You BAD BAD puppy!
-
Woof.
-
Flash close your eyes! It's not a glass of red.. it's cordial okay!

LOL. I think I ran headfirst into that one. :)
-
HK! Lobo!
I think we should rub his nose in it!
-
Nah, he suffered enough with that alter ego, he's like David Bowie, changing appearances and names every week or so. :P
-
To avoid my sensitive nose being manhandled...back to normal. The sooner you forget the better. ;)
-
What are you talking about?
My mind is blank!
-
My mind is blank!
I'd say "my work here is done" if I didn't already know your mind was blank to begin with. ;)
-
Oh! you bastard! oh!
You wait, my time will come, then you will be sorry!!! HA!
Now, what were we saying?
I remember something about Booze, a Dingoo, and Horace source code.. er.. Nope - it's gone again!
-
Well, at least you didn't remember the pigs...
D'OH!
...nothing to see here. Please pass the...err...forum.
-
Oh, you Psycho!
-
Ok, tonight (Birthday Boy!!!),
Well, I blame Sokky! He made me do it! It is all his fault...
-
It's okay...you can spoil yourself today. :-*
-
HIC BURP!!
Stagger!
-
I would have thought you would go something a bit more "exotic" for the birthday boy Flash?
-
Well, I have got a straw, but.. I was all out of little Umbrella's and Cherries sadly
-
No posts for more than a year?
...time to change that. :)
Here's what I've had tonight - in the order I've had them.
(in my defense I've had a friend over to eat, drink and watch a couple of movie - and he's had the same as me).

Hurrah! Booze! ;)
Looks like a nice selection.
-
Beside Guinness (that is also one of my favorites since I really love stouts) I've never seen any of them over here, even I'm not really sure about the first on the left. The name is just 'Classic'? Where is that from?
-
I think it was from the fridge?
:)
-
@Flash.
LOL.
Swerx, the first one is just a local cheap lager. The price is about $0.50 and it's surprisingly good for a budget beer.
The second one, the Black Ale, is a local beer too. I think it was 8.6%. Strong stuff. Not bad but a bit too alcohol-y for me.
The third one, Youngs Double Chocolate Stout is a British beer and is one of my favourites. It has a really nice taste.
I'm sure you already know the Guinness one.
The last two bottles is another one of my absolute favourites. PITCH black - NO light goes through it. 7.9% of absolute smokey dirty feelgood in a bottle. You won't have seen that either - it's from Denmark too.
-
I'll try to find some of them at a local store and if I'll be lucky enough you'll have my opinion :D
-
Drank some other things earlier tonight, including soup and a cup of Earl Grey, but have a love for Nikka's 'apple wine' lately, 20%, apple flavoured, they don't understand real cider here (but the drink in the pic doesn't pretend to). Fluoro in b/g indeed fell down in quake, tube didn't break.
-
From my hotelroom in Istanbul.
-
I remember drinking the same when I went to Turkey some two years ago. :)
Regarding the other picture you posted: I still had no luck in finding ANY of those beers you mentioned. There are still few places around here I didn't check yet but I believe it won't be an easy job anyway...

In Norfolk uk, our cider used to be brewed by the farmer with fallen apples and they used to put allsorts in it including the odd chicken carcass. mad! You slept well after drinking it. Lol
-
Efes tastes alright, but it's not spectacular, at least less watery than most yank beers. Also weak. The current gummint over there would probably ban it if they felt they could do it without causing a drop in tourism and a revolt from the less backward locals.
The apple wine is sweet but has enough dry to balance that, but is pretty solidly a winter drink (might go down alright chilled or with ice on a summer night). I don't think it is an export product. Was going to re-post the pic. with the right alignment, but being on its side seemed pretty appropriate at the time (and still seems so right now). ;)
Real cider, much missed, some of the attempts here taste pretty good, but definitely not the real McCoy (and generally weaker than local beers, so the opposite of how it should be).
Sokurah, the beer lineup looks tempting but a little on the heavy side.
-
I notice I've had a few visits to my site from this thread. I wonder why...if they're looking for information on beer they're going to be dissapointed...but perhaps I should start reviewing beer too...that would bring a bit more life to my site. :p
Btw, I'm just finishing off one of Young's Double Chocolate beer. ;)
(Edit: old picture, btw)
(Edit #2: ...and started the second. ;))
