STEAK...
2 juicy fillets and a sirloin for the wife :)
-
Stop that!..I'm getting hungry. :D
-
mmmmmm
-
<BELCH>
Oh.... that was TENDER!!! :)
-
I just had steak as large as large head but barley beef soup with whiskey before that. All I can say now is...
MEDIC!
-
Tonight, I am eating....
Guess what... :)
-
I have marinated some prawns and broccoli, sugar snap peas, broad beans, and asparagus in a ginger, sweet chilli, and garlic sauce, and have stir-fried them in a pan with noodles and a satay (peanut) sauce to serve with a couple of small garlic and herb naans
Hmmmmm.....
-
Not a fan of sea food unfortunately. But the idea of a peanut satay sause on a steak would be lovely. Actually everything you say sounds tasty there apart from the prawns :P <- the closest smilie to drooling I could find
-
Satay sauce would be quite nice on a steak mate :) (YUM) with a slight pepper base and quick-fried mushroom slices and mashed Yam as a compliment... Hmmm.... Now i just want Steak!!!!
ps... How can a bloody Australian not like Seafood LOL - You have such a fantastic supply!!!!?
-
When I was a kid and I had Tuna for dinner I would ask "is this the fish that swims in the sea?". If they said no I would eat it LOL. I don't know why I don't like it, perhaps I was attacked by a shark in a previous life or something? :D
Pepper sause is the best on steak though, but I can't stand mushrooms either! LOL Fussy little shit arn't I? ;D
-
Yes you are a fussy little sod!! LOL
Mushrooms are one of gods special treats... The good thing about a mushroom is that when cooked they absorb EVERYTHING.. So, supply them with some really nice flavours and you can have a real treat... mix them with some truffles and fry "FAST" and you have a great topping for rings of toasted French stick - YUM!!
Yes, pepper sauce is the best for mixing with Steak! The more pepper the better if the steak is Rump or Sirloin. The only steaks worth eating are T-Bone (a combination of small amounts of fillet and sirloin) or a nice large cut of Fillet.... <grumble>
-
Now all i want is fucking steak...
God! 24 hours of marinating...
-
hehe looks nice though. Didn't take a picture of my tea (too late now) but I just cooked up a bit of rice with butter and curry and had it on some pita bread. Wasn't too bad.
-
Well, we are both having pitta bread and something from a pan LOL - tomorrow steak?
-
Just added 4 cloves of Garlic... Will take the gums from ya teeth now... LOL
Gonna be off soon as now flash-frying to make the noodles slightly crispy and the naans are in the oven :)

Perhaps it is about time you added your edible exploits to this forum? We may want to see the food that graces your lips?? LOL
-
God, my tea was screaming out for Cashews!! :( Oh well!!
-
Well i am on a diet - so sadly had to restrain myself.... I could only have 8...
Sadly, one done a runner!!! Git!!!
LOL
So, "tonight i am eating...."
-

"STEAK"
Now that is a real suprise.. Fillet Steak 4 times in 7 days... YUM!!
-
Serious surprise, just what Doctor orders almost every day. 8)
-
He said I should eat it EVERY day..
And luckily, my family Dr. is also my butcher.. Lucky heh?
-
Absolutely, good doctor butcher should know the best that you need your vitamin A a-plenty these days!
-
He also says I should eat more Tripe? I think he is a little looby-loo!
-
I just had steak as large as large head but barley beef soup with whiskey before that. All I can say now is...
MEDIC!
Just curious, when you called for him, did he ever arrive? LOL :)
-
Nope, he never came, the next thing you know I was coerced in doing gfx for some DS game. :D
Also, you shouldn't eat tripe, that thing is probably a wet sock worn by Beetlejuice dude.
-
Right..
Guess who has a nice T-Bone!!!?
But..
I kicked the cocking dog yesterday for stealing the crackling from the roast and now I am not sure if I should eat the steak or wrap my foot in it?
-
Its all swollen and sore, and a funny colour and has a hard lump in the middle... MUMMY!
ps. the Dog is fine btw - bastard animal!
-
Wierd, I hurt my foot the other night. Sympathy pains?
-
LOL!!
You poor lamb!!
(ps. picture of swollen foot one page back, and picture of NICE steak also - YUM!)
-
It was my left foot too! :o
-
It was my right foot..
All my toes got all muddled up - it just looks like a left foot now :)
-
Oh thank God for that! I was starting to think that our periods had synchronized!
-
L-bloody-O-damn-L!!!
Creased me up there mate.... :) :'( :) :'(
(tears of laughter)

Chinese soup noodles and fried dumplings at a place where they know my face and I guessed I'd get a seat after an hour of unwanted and pretty intense rollercoaster rides, then a couple of hours of shakin' all over every few minutes, all without leaving the flat, like some grand unwanted treat from Mother Nature. Gas was out, so had to eat out.
Last night was better, Swiss packaged potato (the best), what the supermarket calls bologna sausage, never having been to America, I'll take their word for it, tasty, plus fresh carrots, tomatoes, and eschallots, all placed in the same frying pan with exactly the right timing, plus garlic soup with parsley and black pepper.
-
Hmmmm... Garlic soup..
Now I feel hungry.
-
Very delicious in the colder months, it's not just garlic, other ingredients include chicken stock and apples.
-
I am a huge fan of soups, stews, and broths. A fave of mine is Mulligatawny.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulligatawny
(again, great for the colder months)
-
Mulligatawny is good, but my all-time favourite is pea and ham soup, mother's lazy, lumpy version nearly put me off for life, but nana later showed how to do it right. No idea where to get the irreplaceable ingredient around here (good fresh hambonefrom the butcher's).
Best with rye, black or similar bread, lightly toasted.
-
Not my own cooking! It's a fish and pork broth, with noodles, bamboo shoots, a few eschallot slices, garlic and crushed sesame seeds to taste. Fatty as hell, but it is bloody cold out, felt like something special.
-
Looks damn fine to me.
Yum!
-
GUINNESS!!!
-
GUINNESS!!!
What, with a fork?
-
What, with a fork?
Nahh, just sayin' that it was St. Patrick's Day yesterday and I went straight to the pub after work, so I didn't get any dinner...so all that beer kinda was my dinner.
...but not with a fork - I'm not that patient. :)
On a more serious note. I had to look up Mulligatawny as I'd never heard of it before.
It sounds really good and I've printed out a couple of recipes so I'll try to make it some day.
-
It is yummy. I put a ton of pepper in it though lol.
Ps. I did not know you were Irish? lol any excuse for a piss up. On my serious note - we are not allowed to celebrate st. Georges day in England and hang flags. It is unpatriotic apparently. Now that is fucking Irish lol
-

Hahaa, yeah, I just tweeted this 3 minutes ago;
Went out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day last night. Not that I'm Irish, but I know how to recognize a good excuse for drinking. :-D
:)
-
I put a ton of pepper in it though lol.
Do you really put pepper in it? Was a bit surprised by a couple of older fellows at a pub I used to frequent, they really did treat stout (can't recall if it was Guinness) as soup, throwing in salt, pepper, and (at least one of them) a dash of tomato juice. Made sense on second thought, but still haven't tried it myself. :-\

That thought has NEVER even occurred to me...
...but now I wanna try it too. ;) :)
-
Yes, it never occured to me before I saw it, will have to try it at least once now that the thread reminded me of it.
Now eating a tortilla foldover, with garlic soup (plus pepper and parsley) on the side.
Only posting the pic. because the delicious spiced gouda in it is from Denmark.
-
I do enjoy Gouda. It is one of my fave Cheeses (Fave is perhaps Emmental or a nice Bavarian Smoked Cheddar)
Did nice chicken breasts in an Oyster and Ginger sauce last night, served on a bed of Cabbage, mushrooms, spinach, and water cress. Was a real treat.
Bog standand Chicken curry for tea tonight though :(
