Back in 1990 or 1991, my wife and her older brother received a present from their father who was going back home from Spain. It was probably an Atari 2600 Jr. ... or at least they both recognize their console was the one in this picture:
(BTW, it came with different joysticks, they remember they were similar to this one):
What was (and IS, actually) interesting, is that they never had any cartridge to insert into the slot on top of the console... 99 (or 100) or so games where already IN the console and they were using one of the key on top of it (<SELECT> probably) to cycle among the games.
Does that sound familiar to somebody here? How was that possible?
Before you ask: they no longer have that console, but we decided to see if there's a chance to get it back somehow. We'll see...
