What do players think is the hardest  :'( or most irritating >:( level?
I would go for "We Don't Need Roads" so far (six still to clear, only four of those opened, so this might be premature). Probably not the hardest but it took a little time to recognise just how horrid repeatedly hearing the opening chords could be (nicely done Mr. Fractal).
Guess Roads is based on Back to the Future, but that sprite bobbing up and down in the centre doesn't look like Michael J. Fox, is it Mr. Fractal without the goggles?

The character in the centre is Biff.

That is a hard level, though I find 'I had a hunch' to be quite a tricky one, it is the 9th WillyWood level.

I designed two levels for the game: Terminator and Back to the Future in WillyWood section.

I only used few tries to complete Back to the Future first time I remember, and I think the Terminator is harder :D (why its on later stage). I remember Back to The Future theme did not fit the game and dedicated to do a Power of Love instead when I created the music.

One of the hardest levels for me is howover Wares House in the bonus levels section (due its a time bonus level :D). The easiest is the Horace level (but really like the late changes).

Even the very first level can been tricky at start, until you find out you can stop on the house roof, so the top witch can past.... Then its became a pretty easy level.

Nice levels spacefractal, and nice sounds, I've shown it to a few friends and made them listen a bit, they like/love the sound and vis. style but haven't found one who'll really try to play it yet (not Mario, oh no too hard) my fave (probably) for sounds is Hunch where I am stuck now, also esp. like sound on some of the levels where it's more abstract.
For me 'Don't Need Roads' was harder than the Terminator one, Power of Love chords and evil sneakers were also great irritants.
Agree on Wareshouse, it is a bugger.
Flash: Biff makes sense but hard to recognise without his body, Hunch is tricky and probably the hardest so far but nearly there (just got to get back from the top bat).

don't use the top convolve to move right, when you get the top left key. Its easier to grab the key like the same way in the "AirLock" level. Instead use the middle convolve that move left, which you still can move Willy right as long hold right down.. Fall down to chruncing block and then jump to the other chrunching block around top right bat and get the third key....

The only thing to known about this rute, don't let these 2 chruncing blocks disappear, because you need to use them when you need to move back to below exit after third getting the top right key.....

Yes its a really tricky level, but is completable.

PS. even Wareshouse is bugger, its a nice level to been included.

PPS. Thanks for the comment for the music.

Finished everything but Christmas now, so for me either Christmas or We Don't Need Roads was most irritating, I Had a Hunch was hardest.
No help please spacefractal, I already got past the bits you seemed to mention, only had the last bat on Hunch to get past last night. I might have to ask for Christmas though.
The Warehouse is pretty wild but once you work out the path there are still lots of hard places for timing, takes a lot of tries but not one of the hardest, think it took about 15 or 20 minutes to get through after working out how to get from the leftmost block to the next block right.

The Christmas one should been really easy when done correct. I failed it first place, when first doing correct, there was no problems at all.

Will give it a bit longer but on Christmas there's one key I just can't see how to get and get back from in one direction, or just get from the other.  Thought Snoopy's kennel might have been a secret switch, but ...

its the final key on the top right screen? That one should been the final key, so he glide and then fall to exist..... so you need to go back to "start" position when you have taken the bottom key, go to the other side and get that last key. It "cheated" me too, but when Flash wrote about it, then it was not really hard.

Personly its a bit hard, but its also really a fun level when doing correctly. The level got few change when I first saw it under testing, so it got more perfect.

Lol, funny that when I designed it and I wrote you "it seems to me it's way too hard!" you answered something like "Are you kidding? It's one of the easier!" :) I've got your e-mail somewhere if you need a proof ;)

I also found the "We don't need roads" level very hard and also quite frustrating. Good work SF :P

I agree (with both)!
Still stuck on Christmas (no help yet please) so for me it's been the hardest level, even if spacefractal says it shouldn't be (but probably still easier than Hunch once it's worked out, more infectious graphics and sound on Hunch give more of a push).

Got bored trying to get through Christmas this morning, and don't want to reply to myself on the bugs thread, so will say here that I did replicate the phantom Willy bug after that, started from 'Home at Last', think it was the second run through, he appeared in 'End of the World' on the invisible platform just below the right end of the lower mid-length solid platform to the left of the cluster of five tiny platforms near the goal, again facing left: the Bermuda triangle of Manic Miner LL.

This ghost-of-willy, does he only appear when you start the game from the title screen, or does it happen when you clear a level in the main game?

Spacefractal was right, Christmas is relatively easy once you get through it. Difficulty was probably more from playing it just after the sales push bombardment than anything else.

So I stick with Hunch as most difficult and Roads as most frustrating.

All you need to do is fall into the pool (like the scene in Rocky Horror) once you have all the keys. There is a place you can fall from (height does not matter).

Here I believe (if memory serves me) without letting the top platform crumble so you fall too soon.

If you really played through the whole thing it is hard to see how you needed to ask that question.

Key sequence for a different mode once you finish "Do You Know How to Madison". All of the "Play Special" levels, if you haven't done them.

What did you think were the hardest or most irritating so far?

There are 20 bonus levels that can be unlocked. These are signified by a rossette image against the level number on the title screen or by the level text during play.

On these levels, there is a secret spot that you need to find.

One the Lost Levels Airlock level, it is under the platform on the bottom left of the level, just walk there and you will see it unlocked.

Can't believe anyone would have got to level ten of Willywood without finding a few on the menu at least.

So far, the hardest one for me is the level 8 in williwood, although I also find tricky the last one, the level 10.

he he :-D.

The level can been very hard, but can been easier due there is a trick to deal with the middle right key (middle right convolver):
 - Jump around just after you got the key, so he hit the top right platform on his head. Willy would now fall down and turn left (due you switched it).

Hi! I have a question about unlocking the levels.
I already unlock all levels with the signal, and now, when I change the mode play, to rocky or chirstmas or any other mode, Im again in the same levels, same modes as usual.

The fist time, whwn I choose "rocky" in level one, it came a different one. But now its again the same.
I also realize that there are two game modes that also has the pink signal. Those modes also have something to unlock? If so, do I have to unlock all levels, besides the ones that I already unlocked..

Thank you again for your help, and sorry for any inconvenience!! :)
