I would be more than a little happy to have some of the members that we have gained on this forum join in some of these topics.

We are all NICE people (mostly) and we hardly ever swear or shake fists,

So please, even if you feel you have nothing to say, say it! (that does not make sense?), Christ, sometimes we even leave spam because it is entertaining... Anyone can beat that!!

Dude...I don't think we lack entertaining topics, what yer smoking about?
Hell, I print out the posts from this forum, make a little coffee table book out of it and read it on my way to work.
Then I read it to my coworkers and we ROFL and LMAO and ROFLMAO for 25 minutes while sipping coffee.  ::)

Important thing I forgot to mention.
You need to fix the forum a bit. Basically, add the 'go down' and 'back to top' buttons in topics and add the TDG and MM to that table on the left in Menu. Aye.  8)

The only problem they most Horage pics looks same when gif animation is disabled...... Like as I normally have (And many other "might" have). This is due I normally hate gif animations at all, due many (not allI) have large gif animations or banners that can annorying and distrect (even ALL of them is really nice when animated).

Hence I Whish the first Horace picture on each smilie was the most description one and then play the animation from there. Most would never notice the animation was started from middle.

Gif animation disabled?  :o Why would you do that for? Unless you're visiting some sites that haven't been updated since 1996 when GIF animation was a way to go. These days, banners and stuff is all Flash really.  :)

I agree with the idea that the first frame probably should be the most descriptive one but it doesn't make a lick of difference really...except - like you say Lobo - unless you're a neanderthal. :p
I too had GIF animations turned off back in the dark ages but that's years and years ago.
Too much work for the two persons left in the world who will find it useful. Get with the times.

Agreed. These days it's really uncommon to support the things of yesteryear really. After all, you can't make everyone happy nor should you try to accomplish that task.  ;)

I have turned GIF animations in many many years!!!

This is due forums that still use them and too many users just use annorying blinking animation avatars and signatures. I diddent do that recently due I just reinstalled OS, but I allways turned them off  normally. Today I even see some danish forums that even not like them and not support them at all.

So, nope gif animations is NOT old, they are just normally annoyring really normally. Today sadly it have been much worse with flash animations.

Hence I why I want the first picture to been the most description one (none users notice it anyway, if you start middle in a animation). 6 Images example is just the same and the yellow smilies you could see what they does with gif animations disabled without any problems.....

PS. With animation they are really nice, but I just want the most descripted used as the start position and play from here and then loop (and if there is pause, add some images instead).

EDIT:

PPS. And there is also missing the important ALT text on these smiles as well, which is mean its hard to see these smilies nonanimatied, so a ALT text (the ALT tag) would also help a lot!

C'mon, if you doubt what the smiley is for just right-click it and select properties. Then you can see the filename - eg. 'wink.gif'.

...or you can download the smileys, load them into a gif animator and rearrange the frames.
I'm sure if you then send them to Flash he'll wouldn't mind replacing the original ones with yours...if it's that important to you.

Personally I don't think it's an issue. I'd prefer some better forum software but unfortunately that's not as easy to replace.

The forum software is even fine....

Here is the result after rearranged and removed doublets and use frame timers instead. I have not touch the images of itself, but the timers might suffer a little bit, but have tried to been close as possible.

Some images might still look very similar, when none animated, but it's far better in this arrangment, but could been better.

PS. Hope that ok with Lobo and Flash and I upload it here, since they are no secrets.

I don't mind, Flash can upload them over. The tags probably disappeared in transition, he can probably fix that easily.

I use a text browser.

Well, not really. I just disable the images when browsing from home, with my poor V90 modem. Really.
