Different versions of Warhawk C64?

It could just be the effect of having had too many beers (which is quite likely) :) but I can't remember reading any details of why there were different versions of Warhawk on the C64. Some with "normal" enemies at the end of a level, and some with "bosses".
What's the reason for that? :)

All the conversions were done by different people. I have no idea what their instructions were, but perhaps they put their own spin on it. The only one much the same is the Atari version which was coded by Andrew Betts.

In fact, I never even knew so many versions existed, and it was only recently that I realised Tanium was converted to other formats.

Sorry. Misread this.

There were two c64 versions.

The original had the end level bosses but firebird wanted them removed as they were too close to star force. Apparently. Luckily the proteus version still exists.
Andrew betts removed the original code and images that me and bad toad worked on and added the crap swarm code.

See. That clears that up then. Lol

Thanks. That also explains why you put the bosses back into the NDS version.  ;D
